| 31 Dec 2007 | Jessica Warner | Loading...Wow! I would love to see that thing move! What's his eye made of? Richard Svensson replies: "So would I, but I haven't gotten around to the actual animation yet. Let me get back to you when I have something to show. The eyes are actually glass wolves eyes used by taxidermists (I think I spelled that correctly). These creatures have three of them. The rest of the puppet is made up of a flexible skeleton of braided aluminum wire, soft thick string covering the tentacles, and latex. The claws are cast in hard plastic. The head, the claws, the "trumpets" and the conical body are first sculpted in chavant clay, then a mold in hard plaster is made from that. Into this mold you can then cast latex. The mold for the claws were made in silicone. Thanks for stopping by!" | |
| 31 Dec 2007 | Kharmii | Loading...Another Lovecraft piccy eh? Nice work! His writings are so bizarre and surreal; this goes along nicely. Richard Svensson replies: "Thanks! I could prabably fill an entire page with images inspired by Lovecraft. He frequently comes back to haunt me (in a very nice way)." | |
| 3 Jan 2008 | Marika Viklund | Loading...This is amazing! Have it on my desktop at the moment! ^^ Very good portrait of them! I think I've never seen anyone do one before! It's great!! You kept well to the description and colours of them too I see! Iiiiih! *huggles cone-thingy* Richard Svensson replies: "Thanks, Marika! I had a hunch you'd get a kick out of this guy (girl, thing). I hope you'll like it even more once I get it moving. I'll just have to build some flying polyps and cyclopean basalt towers too (so, no sweat)." | |
